Help Yulia!

There is nothing worse than watching your child fade away. We have suffered that. Our Yulia, our most precious child is seriously ill. The doctors have found a tumor in her brain. It happened out of the blue – on Sunday she was safe and sound, playing, laughing and riding the bike, and on Thursday she could hardly talk, she could not eat and move. It was like after the doctors told parents about her diagnosis, she somehow understood it, she simply gave up.

The problem is that the tumor is in the region of the brain, which is difficult to access. In Ukraine, first in Lviv, then in Kyiv Diagnostics Center, doctors refused to do anything. They did not give her a chance to survive. Can you picture that, how was it for the parents to hear: “You can go anywhere – no one can help you”?!? How does it feel standing in their shoes, knowing that you are losing your child and you can do nothing about that?!?

Then there were letters and calls to medical centers and hospitals abroad. Most of them were rejected – “Sorry, we cannot help you”. But then there was a positive result – Medical Center “Anadouly” in Istanbul, Turkey, Agreed to accept Yulia and to do everything to save her. Finally there was hope! Yulia and her parents set off to Istanbul.

All of us – friends, family, - believe in a miracle. We believe our Yulia, our little mouse, our joy and pride will survive! Now we are collecting money to pay for her medical treatment – there is no medical insurance system in Ukraine. We need lots of money.

But we know that there are many good people around us.
